“The advocacy work I do around erotic labor is not of an evangelical nature. I’m not trying to coax your children into the dark side to be subjected to assault and inhumane treatment. I remember my mother and wonder who was protecting her when she was giving full service [sex work] somewhere in the heartlands. I remember every time I’ve been assaulted and harassed in ‘respectable’ places of work or just existing in a space. Trafficking victims are arrested and jailed because we can’t swallow radical autonomy. Decriminalizing sex work is based in the FACT that we can’t protect the people we criminalize.”
